Statement of Significance
A large Tudor house designed by F A Gillett in about 1870 for his own use, with considerable later work on the entrance side, but still with the elegant timber verandah reminiscent of, but simpler, than Gillett's verandah for the nearby "Manyung" (Norman Lodge). Excluded from classification are the twentieth century annexes and alterations.
