Statement of Significance

Outstanding size

This specimen is magnificent specimen of great height, being one of the tallest trees at 'Alton'. It is only surpassed by the nearby Douglas Fir (49m). The tree has a gentle curve to the north.
It is located on the east side of the garden and north of the pond.
