Statement of Significance

Outstanding size

A very large tree significant for its circumference of 8.21m. The treehas an outstanding tapered trunk which reaches 37.5m in height. Although the top of the crown in now dead, the tree is one of a number of very fine Giant Redwoods resumably planted in the late 1870's
It is located near the entrance gate on the south side.
