SHASTON - History
Built approx. 1857 and owned by John Barrow - an engineer and architect.SHASTON - Interpretation of Site
Bluestone cottage with iron roof; plaster and wallpaper on cottage interior still preserved until 1983. Conditions of the interior section is not known today. Cottage is still extant however deteriorating.
SHASTON - Archaeological Significance
The area is archaeologically significant as it is likely to have cultural deposits in situ sub surface.

SHASTON - Heritage Inventory Description
Large, one-storey bluestone cottage with iron roof over timber shingles built in 1857. Now derelict but remains of plaster and wallpaper preserved in interior. Also ruined outbuildings and large plastered cistern at rear.
