Statement of Significance

The Former Union Bank (1913), Yarram is of regional cultural significance as a notable Walter Butler, Arts and Crafts influenced design and as an important element in the commercial and social history of the town. The solid brick building has a terracotta tiled gabled roof, rendered band separating ground and first floor and a semi-circular arched entrance centrally placed, and it retains some original features such as leadlight windows, wrought iron, bank vault, safe and benches.
