Outstanding example of species
Located in shrubbery south-west of tennis court.
Syn. Quercus 'Firthii'. The seed of this tree is believed to have come from Sefton at Mt Macedon and is thought to be a natural hybrid between Quercus phellos & Quercus rubra. A smaller specimen occurs on the edge of the circular drive at the front of the house. Other known specimens occur at Firth Park ( Wombat State Park), Creswick Nursery (beside lake) and Durrol, Mt Macedon
