Avenue planted in two sections following World War I and World War 2 at a spacing of 19-20.4 metres.
An outstanding planting of Monterey Cypress (Hesperocyparis macrocarpa). This avenue is possibly the best example in Victoria, impressive due to its even spacing, size and dark foliage. The avenue is planted in two sections: the first, nearest town, was planted to honour World War I servicemen and the second section to commemorate those involved in World War II. Each tree was originally marked with a bronze name plate. The trees are regularly trimmed to a barrel shape which has assisted in preventing the older trees losing branches.
This avenue is of State significance and should be carefully managed.
