Contribution to landscape
Outstanding size
This Canary Island Pine (Pinus canariensis)dominates the landscape and is a particularly fine example of the species. The garden at 'Caranballac' dates in part from the 1860s when the original homestead, built in 1835 and 1848, was extended. The seed is believed to have been brought from England by the Winter-Cookes of 'Murndal'
The homestead is 4 miles west of Skipton, and the tree is located in front of the homestead.
