The plaque beneath this tree claims it was planted in 1869, by Baron Von Mueller, Director of Botanic Gardens Melbourne. The tree is in good condition however some lower branches have been severely cut back. The large stubs where the tree has been pollarded could now be removed and a slight canopy raising could occur. A canopy conflict occurs on the southern side also
