STONEHENGE DAM - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: Property has been fenced by the same family since 1870s; widely spaced cropping marks occur on the hillslope. The paddock was last ploughed in the 1870s - this area was apparently not affected.

Heritage Inventory Interpretation: Stock watering site - possibly quite old (pre-1900?).

STONEHENGE DAM - Heritage Inventory Description
A circular basalt lined dorm located on a degraded hillslope. Dimensions 12m diameter, depth approximately 0.5m. The hill is composed of basalt rubble, now mostly collapsed into the dam. It still holds a small amount of runoff from the hillside.
Heritage Inventory Significance: Local
Heritage Inventory Site Features: 1. Stonelined dam - possibly associated with selector period. 2. Residual boundary line formed by row of native trees... e. rubida? e. obliqua? 3. Aboriginal site composed of artefacts washed down slope (not in situ) - incorporated within buffer zone -15 to 20m wide
