MORDEN - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: The site is located on allotment 35 of the parish of Edgecombe. This was one of four allotments purchased on 28/10/1852 by R. Brodie.
MORDEN - Interpretation of Site
Heritage Inventory Interpretation: The extensive complex of surviving stone walls probably dates to the original subdividing of the area in 1852. The one roomed cottage predates the larger house, which probably dates to the late 1800s or the early 1900s. There were possibly earlier structures on the site, as there are traces of bluestone foundations.
