DRY STONE WALL - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: Wall at southern end of lot, originally purchased in 1850s by M Lynch. Peak period of stone wall construction generally between 1850s and 1880s, though still built today. May be related to nearby farm complex.
DRY STONE WALL - Interpretation of Site
Heritage Inventory Interpretation: Wall skirts stony rise and may have kept stock off the hill where basalt for the nearby farm complex was obtained. Wall of relatively low standard of construction.
