CLONARD HOMESTEAD - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: Original crown grant to Hubes and Hosking in 1838. Later part of block bought by Charles Campbell in 1840s-1850s. House probably built c.1870-1900 by leaseholder. Land bought by family of current owners in 1915 after sub-division. Land used for dairying, then sheep - recently grazing cattle nearby. Major alterations to house in 1930-1950s and 1980.
CLONARD HOMESTEAD - Interpretation of Site
Heritage Inventory Interpretation: Central part of house probably built c.1870-1900, house is still occupied-renovated in 1980s. Associated woolshed and old milking shed with dairying machinery, cream separators, etc., still stand but mostly used for storage. Used for rural activities until 1960s, land probably used for dairying last century, as with neighbouring properties.

CLONARD HOMESTEAD - Heritage Inventory Description
A still standing house - the core of which was built last century - with associated sheds, outbuildings, cypress. The house is currently occupied.
Heritage Inventory Significance: Cultural: high local significance, for role in local history and community activities. Scientific: moderate - shows some aspects of changes in land use and dairying history, but much of original structure and outbuildings removed or altered.
