CLARKE & PEARCE NO.2 MILL - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: The No. 2 mill was founded by Clarke and Pearce circa 1920. It was burnt out in 1925 and rebuilt the following year.Three men died here in the 1939 fires and a further 25 survived by retreating to a nearby dam.Heritage Inventory Description
CLARKE & PEARCE NO.2 MILL - Heritage Inventory Description
Two apparently unused boilers, lying together in heavy undergrowth amidst a litter of other artefacts. Also a large flat belt pulley which was probably used to transmit power from the steam engine to the saw bench.
