ST THERESE OF THE LITTLE FLOWER CATHOLIC CHURCH (FORMER) - Physical Description 1
St. Theresa's was constructed in 1938 by A.J.Wilson to the design of the P.J .O'Connor. In 1965 O'Connor and Brophy designed alterations.
The church is of brick Spanish mission style. The gable end having a pair of round arch headed windows separated by a slender column. Above this is a large circular window with a heavy moulding around the circumference, with a perforated design around a cruciform. Surmounting this is a round arch headed empty niche supported on a bracket. The church entrance is in the base of the square tower, the main feature of which is an elongated window above a carved panel, again with the cruciform design. The window has a perforated patterned screen, a thick surrounding moulding, and a semi-circular label mould terminating at impost level. The tower is capped by a shallow pyramidal roof.ST THERESE OF THE LITTLE FLOWER CATHOLIC CHURCH (FORMER) - Intactness
