Former Footscray Ammunition Factory - Veterans Description for Public
The Former Footscray Ammunition Factory is located on Gordon Street. The site includes an original, large bluestone magazine from the 1870s, known as Jacks Magazine. The Colonial Ammunition Company used the site between 1880s-1920s, until the Commonwealth ammunition factory was set up in 1920s. The site is currently subject to plans for redevelopment.
