    Mildura RAAF Airport - Veterans Description for Public

    The Mildura RAAF Airport is located on Walnut Avenue, on a site of 363 acres, was compulsorily acquired on December 7th 1939. RAAF establishments were built throughout country Victoria during the Second World War. The characteristic buildings from the war era are the P1 type accommodation blocks and Bellman type hangars (timber framed, corrugated iron clad).
