At the end of the railway siding is a narrow platform that is probably a stock loading ramp.

DUNNSTOWN RAILWAY SIDING - Heritage Inventory Description
Remains of a railway siding and ramp at Dunnstown on the Melbourne to Ballarat line.
The siding consists of a shallow cut and embankment on the south side of the rail line and terminates in a narrow platform, possibly a stock ramp. There is some ballast remaining on the surface of the embankment but no sleepers. The stock-ramp is an earth mound reinforced with timber and concrete buttresses.
