WATERLOO CUP HOTEL - Physical Description 1
An imposing late Victorian Boom period three storeyed stuccoed Italianate hotel on a corner location with rusticated ground floor, corner splay and pavilions to the corner and each end of the street elevations. The pavilions enclose pilastrated loggias at the upper residential levels with semi-circular openings, the flat arched windows to the pavilions having triangular and curved pediments. At street level the openings have semi-circular and segmental heads and appear to be substantially intact. The parapet is solid to the loggias and formed by circles in the pavilions. At Scotia Street the street level accommodation is extended in rusticated work to the north.
