What is significant?
The entire late 19th/early 20th century one lane timber road trestle bridge and the site to a radius of 30 metres.
How is it significant?
The bridge is historically significant to the Shire of Nillumbik.
Why is it significant?
The bridge is historically significant as a good example of the large timber trestle road bridges constructed in Victoria during the late 19th/early 20th centuries and because this type of bridge is now rare within the Shire (Criteria B & D).
