Statement of Significance
'Tandderwen', comprising the house constructed c.1896, at 369 Heatherton Road, Narre Warren North.
'Tandderwen' is of local historic significance to the City of Casey.
Historically, it is significant for its strong associations with the Jones family, who were among the pioneers of the orchard industry in this area and is one of a small number of surviving nineteenth century orchadists houses in this area. (AHC criteria A4, D2 and H1)

Tandderwen - Physical Description 1
'Tandderwen' is a simple symmetrical Victorian double fronted weatherboard cottage with a corrugated iron hip roof, and a separate return convex verandah supported on square section timber posts. The front door has no sidelights and the windows are double hung sash. The rear of the house has additions including a precast concrete chimney of the Pickering variety which is a common feature of many 1920s houses in the region. It is located on raised land above Heatherton Road close to the original Narre Warren township (now Narre Warren North).

Moderate. There have extensive alterations and additions at the rear. It appears that some chimneys have been removed, and the roof is new.
