Perry Cottage - Physical Description 1
The house known as 'Perry Cottage' is a small Victorian weatherboard double-fronted cottage. It has a gabled corrugated iron main roof with a skillion at the rear. The verandah has a corrugated iron roof supported on square sectioned timber columns. The panelled timber front door is flanked by double hung sash windows, and there are similar windows in the side elevations. There is one brick external chimney on the west elevation.
The roof has been re-clad and it appears that other repairs have been made (verandah? weatherboards?), which are sympathetic to the original form of the building. Visible unsympathetic changes to the original fabric include the verandah floor, which is now concrete.
An c.1930 photograph in 'Pearcedale. Moments in History' shows that there has been little change in the external appearance of the cottage since that time.
