Site is archaeologically significant as it has the potential to contain intact deposits relating to schooling during the mid 19th century.
NATIONAL SCHOOL NO.741 - Historical Significance
The site is historically significant as an early school building in the Cape Bridgewater area, and locally as it relates to the settlement of Cape Bridgewater.
Heritage Inventory Description
NATIONAL SCHOOL NO.741 - Heritage Inventory Description
Limestone building with iron roof now in ruins and collapsing fast. Site inspected Jan 1994 - the site is more overgrown than in 1982, but does not appeared to have suffered much damage.
Heritage Inventory Significance: A well preserved site of a small country school.
