EMERSON HOUSE - History
Emerson family used timber from wrecks to build original part of house.
EMERSON HOUSE - Archaeological Significance
High potential for archaeological significance as little disturbance has occurred on site so subsurface occupation deposits should be intact.
EMERSON HOUSE - Historical Significance
Limited historic information. Site is significant as an early example of pastoral occupation and building in the area.
EMERSON HOUSE - Interpretation of Site
Timber cottage with iron roof, which has a second timber cottage added beside original one at some stage.
Represents occupation of pastoral area.

EMERSON HOUSE - Heritage Inventory Description
Timber double cottage with iron roof over timber slats (used timber from wrecks to build original part of house) ; foundation of separating shed; well; shed; post-and-rail fenced yards; traces of road in from Amos Rd. Second timber cottage added beside original one. Now derelict and falling into ruin. Dimensions 100 x 10m. Possibly marked incorrectly in report (Fig 5) as Site 218.
