DAGO FLAT CHARCOAL PIT - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: The pit was operated by two Italians from Dimboola who camped on the dune to the north of the pit. A third Italian carted the charcoal to Dimboola. The camp was not inspected but it is reported that there is a scatter of tins and some ceramics on the site.Heritage Inventory Description
DAGO FLAT CHARCOAL PIT - Heritage Inventory Description
Pit east of a track, just to the south of a billabong. An earth mound on the west side and scattered nearby are some very fragmented remains of a riveted iron water tank.
