KONGWAK PUBLIC HALL - Physical Description 1
The staged development of the Kongwak Public Hallis reflected in the fabric. The 1924 and 1927 stages comprises the main single storey longitudinal gable building with a rear transverse gable and skillion. The 1956 brick front addition has rendered walls divided into bays by pilasters and a simple parapet with an implied string course, with tall windows on either side of the central entry. Post-1956 alterations and additions include the arched canopy at the front, and skillion additions on the west side and the metal weatherboard cladding and aluminium windows.
The hall is situated on a prominent corner site opposite the Primary School. Several large trees forming part of the Avenue of Honour are at the frontage of the property.
