SCHIER'S HOUSE SITE - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: The land was purchased by William Schier on 30 August 1869, and presumably the house was built shortly afterwards. Mrs. Schier was the first European woman buried in Harcourt.Heritage Inventory Description
SCHIER'S HOUSE SITE - Heritage Inventory Description
The house was constructed of granite, only one wall still stands. The well from the house still remains, located in the first row of the orchard.
Heritage Inventory Significance: Low to medium historical and archaeological significance.
