BICKFORD'S RUINED PUB SITE - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: Local tradition is that this was the site of an early hotel on the road to the Bendigo goldfields. The name and exact date of the hotel, it such it was, are not known.

Heritage Inventory Interpretation: The historical artefacts on the surface would support a date in the mid to late nineteenth century.

BICKFORD'S RUINED PUB SITE - Heritage Inventory Description
Ruined and heavily disturbed site. The area has been repeatedly ploughed and has a communications cable running through it. Artefacts and building materials are scattered across the area, including champagne, stout and beer bottle bases, bricks granite and slate.
Heritage Inventory Significance: Moderate archaeological significance. There may be in situ archaeological deposits and there appears to be a wide variety of historical artefacts. Moderate local historical significance.
