Memorial Window Description & History
Stained Glass Window at Burwood Uniting [formerly Methodist] Church - Memorial Window Description & History
The three-panel window was designed and made by David Taylor Kellock (1913-1988) for the Burwood Methodist Church and was possibly configured differently in its original setting. The Prince of Peace was the central figure, with symbols of the Cross above and Eternal Flame below, set against a quarry background. The window was re-installed in the war memorial chapel at Burwood Uniting Church in 1985. Although the names of the service men and women are unnamed on the window, one of two unidentified honour rolls installed in the crying room of the church possibly relates to the Methodist church members.
