The 1932 mature Pin Oak tree at Eltham high school and the surrounding site to a radius of 15m.
How is it significant?
The Pin Oak tree is historically and aesthetically significant to the Shire of Nillumbik.
Why is it significant?
The tree is historically significant because it was planted in 1932 by Miss Sedunary (a schoolteacher) and is illustrative of the early landscaping of the school grounds (Criteria H & A). The tree is aesthetically significant because it is of substantial size and age, in good condition and has high landscape value (Criterion E).
