What is significant?
The 19th / early 20th century timber slab farm building and the surrounding site to a radius of 30 metres.
How is it significant?
The farm building is historically and technically significant to the Shire of Nillumbik.
Why is it significant?
The farm building is historically significant as a reminder of the role that agriculture played in the development of the area (Criterion A). The farm building is technically and historically significant as one of only four remaining slab farm buildings to be found in the former Shire of Eltham (see HO63 and HO 64) and as a rare example of the use of vernacular construction techniques in the area during the late c19th / early 20th century (Criteria B & D).
