These trees are located east of Burn's statue and near picnic shelter.
They are two fine examples of an Oak rare in cultivation in Victoria. The normal range for Quercus lanata is the East Asian Himalayas from Pakistan to Eastern Nepal. The trees are particularly attractive due to their form, silver colouring on the underside of the leaves and their light coloured wood. Other known specimens occur at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kyneton, Hamilton and Mount Macedon.
