    Plaque: This window which commemorates the Armed Merchant Cruisers/Landing Ships Infantry in World War II was dedicated on 14th November 1999 Window designed, crafted and donated by Commodore Dacre Smyth AO RAN RTD

    Stained Glass Window at Crib Point HMAS Cerberus Flinders Naval Depot Anglican Chapel - Memorial Window Description & History

    The right-hand light of this three-light window was '[d]edicated to the Glory of God and in memory of the three RAN AMC/LSIs of World War II, and to the men who served in them'.

    The insignia and mottos of the three ships fill the upper section of the window, together with an image ofa vessel in profile: HMAS Kanimbla 'Cry Havoc", HMAS Manoora 'Nux Vomica' and HMAS Westralia 'Fides et Audax', all Armed Merchant Cruisers and then Landing Ships Infantry. Second World War battle honours were listed as Indian Ocean 1940-42, Pacific 1941-45, New Guinea 1943-44, Leyte Gulf 1944, Lingayen Gulf 1945 and Borneo 1945. This is one of very few of the many chapel windows which the artist, Dacre Smyth,signed.
